Veeam has most recently released Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 v6a for general availability. This new release is certified to use the new Microsoft Teams Backup and Restore through Microsoft Graph Export API for Teams messages. This dedicated API backs up public channel messages and requires configuration with the Microsoft 365 environment.
We at ThinkOn are committed to providing our customers unparalleled support and stability in our service. We are in the process of researching the potential changes to the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 API interface that our Compass DataProtect for M365 uses and certifying it for use with our portal. As well we will be certifying and validating the new functionality offered in Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 v6a to use the Microsoft Graph Export API and implications to our customer base.
As soon as we have validated and regression tested our environment we will be rolling out the new version to our environments. When we are ready we will communicate this to our partners and customers.
